Who is Ian? Part 2

A little bit over 4 years ago I created this digital portfolio to show my progression at the time. While I am still the same person, a lot has changed. Back then the uni I was studying at was still called NHTV, which now changed into Breda University and IMEM is now known as Media. I lived in a student home in Breda, now I am renting an apartment in Haarlem with my girlfriend. Finally, at time of writing, I am at the brink of graduation. It took longer than planned, however that is the story of my life. Always the late bloomer.

I am still in love with media, that is one thing that did not change one bit. Consuming it mostly nowadays, however the plan is to be more productive again with media projects (music and video) after my graduation. I am still proud of my body of work, and I would love to extend this list soon.

Besides my body of work, I also updated my resume, to contain my newer professional experiences specifically my two internships and my two current jobs. If you prefer, you can also take a gander at my LinkedIn page.

Cheers,
Ian van den Burg

Who is Ian?

As you might have guessed from the big name at the top, my name is Ian van den Burg. I was born in the beautiful Haarlem and currently live in Breda. At the moment I study International Media & Entertainment Management at the NHTV University of Applied Sciences in my current home town.

If there is one thing I absolutely love, it is media. This might seem like a generic statement, however I hold all corners of media close to my heart: from intensely listening to music, to being hooked to a new TV-series, and from wondering about the marvels of modern and classic films to being totally immersed in immense video game worlds. As the great Franklin D. Roosevelt once said: “I love it–I just love it.”

However consuming is only one side of the coin that is my love for media. The other is producing. I am currently working on many different projects, most of which are still in the pre-production stage. While I am only a novice in the media industry, my body of work does contain a moderate number of publications, varying from a short film to my work for Made Radio.

Make sure, besides my body work, you also check out my resume, in case you are specifically interested in my professional experiences.

With regards,
Ian van den Burg
